White Cliffs of Dover
When I think about geography, one of the first images that comes to mind is that of the White Cliffs of Dover. During WWII, pilots would search for the White Cliffs as they returned from bombing runs, as they marked the border to England and safety.
Geography Mission Statement
The goal of geography is to chart the political boundries, landmasses, climates, vegitation, and natural wonders that define our world. People who study geography must be inheriently interested in many diffrent topics, from geology to current events. This broad range of interests also speaks to the uses of geography, which can range wildly from learning about the past to finding the most efficent way to get to a friend's house.
