Movement
In geography, movement is the transport of people, goods, and ideas. This subject often comes up in history class when discussing topics such as 16th century trade routes or the origin and spread of indo-european languages. In the past, movement of people, goods, and ideas, was relatively slow. It could take months or even years to travel from one point to another. In our modern world, however, the speed with which things can move has increased tremendously. A journey which once took months can now take hours, and ideas can spread instantaneously via the internet.
